The Mongols were undisputed Masters of The Lower Russian Steppes and much of the wilds of Northern China for centuries. One of the last of the "Great Horse Nations", their entire Culture was Equine based. Broken down into different Clans or Tribes, when at War, the massive throngs of Horsemen needed to be identified easily on the field. The Mongols used a type of Pennant which was similar to a Fanion/Guildon. Colors were somewhat standard with Blue and Red. Clan affiliations were seen by different icons and image indicative to the specific Tribe. These symbols were normally featured in White or Silver. An average Banner was around 4-feet in length and 2-feet in width. They were typically mounted on 8-foot wooden poles as well.
