The Japanese Type 80 was a late Cold War Missile designed to be Air Launched (Aircraft) to engage Enemy Shipping. It was designed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and was used by both The Japanese Defense Force Army and Navy. They would be replaced in 1989. The Type 80 was 1,300-pounds. Their length was 13-feet with a 13-inch diameter. The warhead weighed 300-pounds and was a HE (Fragmentation). Solid fueled, the single Booster Engine (Turbojet) allowed for an airspeed of 700-mph. Their operational range was 50-miles. Guidance was achieved by inertial active imaging radar.
