Another weapons designed for Samurai usage, The 15th Century Shurikenjutsu “Arrow Dart” were iron throwing, ranged weapons, carried by certain Warriors in combat. The ranged in size from 12-inches to about 1.5 feet in length. Designed to be hurled as far as 6 to 15 feet, these were smooth iron rods, tapering into a barbed tip – and stabilized by a hammered flat end with feather/quills for flight. Although obvious problems developed due to Armored Troops, if ENOUGH were deployed (as with a “cloud”), they were mildly effective.
