Designed and flown in 1776 for The Town of Huntington, New York's Militia, the Red Banner with the simple White phrase “LIBERTY”, was carried at The Battle of Long Island. Captured by German Hessian Mercenaries, it was taken back to Germany (after The War). Surviving until World War II, it was reported destroyed in an Allied Bombing Raid.
