The HMS “Concorde” was originally a French 32-gun Frigate (also named “Concorde”). She was built in 1777 and had a displacement of over 800 tons. “Concorde” was 142 feet long and sat 40 feet high (beam). Captured by The Royal Navy in 1783, she retained her French name. Her largest guns were 24-pounders. She crewed around 220 men. Fast, she saw active service against her former “Masters”, in many engagements. By 1807, she was decommissioned and broken up.
