German K-Verband Badge

The German Kreigsmarine created a specialized Surface Combat Fleet known as The ''K-Verband'' around 1944. The Force, which name ''K-Verband'' means ''Small Battle Unit'', normally consisted of a Flotilla which included a Battleship, Cruiser or Destroyer. This was augmented by a U-Boat (Submarine), E-Boat (Torpedo Boat) and R-Boat Multi-purpose Vessel. Finally, smaller and more lethal Vessels assigned could be Midget Submarine, ''Explosive'' or Sprengboote. Underwater Commandos could also be deployed with The K-Verband. The K-Verand maximized an already tapped German Military, which used The K-Verband System was an expedient Fighting force until the end of The War in 1945.
