The German 7.7cm Model 16 Field Cannon was a common Imperial German Army Field piece used during World War I. They were produced late in The War 1916. Over 3,000 were used. The Gun was so successful, that many surviving were still in Service in 1939 when Germany again went to War. The Model 16 weighed over 2,900-lbs. And was Crewed by (4). The Gun fired a 77mm Shell to a range of over 11,000-yards. The Model 16 was popular as a Chemical weapons platform during World War I.
