The French produced R-550 Missile (named ''Magic'') is a Short Ranged, Air to Air Missile weapon developed in 1975. It was manufactured to completed with the US ''Sidewinder'' (one of The World's most popular and deployed Aircraft missiles). A fragmentation warhead, ''Magic'' is 5-feet long with a 6-inch diameter and uses a solid-fuel propulsion system. It has a 1/4-mile operational range. The R-550 uses infrared optical homing for guidance (''Magic II'', developed in 1986). Most French Fighters currently use The ''Magic'' Missile today. It is exported to (14) Foreign Nations Air Forces.
