This early French cannon was seen in the 14th/15th Centuries. Roughly 4 feet long and weighing around 50-pounds, this small cannon was fixed mounted on Perimeter Walls and related structures. Used as an anti-personnel weapons, The Fauconneau fired a 2-pound shot – roughly 200 yards. The were often considered “The Swivel Gun” for fortification defense.
