Developed in the 14th Century, The Earspoon was a Pole Arm weapon. It was known for it's long head (tapered and broad - in the shape similar to a spoon). Two connecting lugs attached this blade head to a 6 to 8 foot wooden pole. The blade head could range up to 2 feet!. The Earspoon saw some additional uses as a hunting weapon. It was popular in Germany and nearby regions.
