These 16th Century medium cannon were larger than a Saker Gun. Barrels were cast in bronze and were around 11 feet long and could weigh up to 3,500 pounds. 8 to 10-pound shot was preferred and the Demi-Culvern had a maximum effective range of up to 1,800 feet. These guns were light and very accurate and were especially useful for attacking medium castle and fortification walls and buildings.
