This Roman military award was considered the second highest military award a common soldier could earn. Made from oak leaves woven into a wreath. It was given to a soldier who personally save the life of another soldier in combat (but not on the ground held the previous day). Only the soldier whose life was saved could recommend the award. It would be worn during parades and ceremonial occasions.
