To “Engoul” a image in Heraldry, means to have a Bend (Line), being “devoured” be twin “Beast Heads” (one top facing, the other bottom facing). The twin heads appear to be eating The Bend. Dragons and Lions were commonly used. It was basically “Artistic Licensing” with regards to the Arms Creator. Engouled Arms were not as common in English Heraldry (and are seen more in other Countries).
