Derived from similar Aztec Clubbing weapons, The Macuahuitzoclti was a hand held Axe-like weapon made of Regional wood. Roughly 1.5 to 2.5 feet in handle length, they were straight with a sloping top which curved inward. Inset into either 1 or both sides, were obsidian flakes or stone balls. A specific movement (similar to Asian Martial Arts Kata), was said to have been used. The Club could be used in a downward blow or injuries could be given from the flat sides of the weapon as well. They were not widely employed and were probably reserved for various Elite Forces.
