The use of an “arrowhead” on Coats of Arms symbolized the “property of” a King or Queen. There were 2 types used. The Pheon (or Barbed Head) and The Broadhead. They were deployed in a downward position. Used in military terms, they could represent Royal Archers. They were also used to denote buildings and property associated with England's Tower of London (Armories and Military Stores).
