The ''Yemoja'' is found in Yoruban (African) Mythology. She was a Deity associated with protection of Women and Children on water sources (such as The Ocean). It is commonly thought she was ''crafted'' as a means of providing some peace to the many Yoruban who were captured in The Slave Trade and transported in inhumane conditions on Slave Slaves. Yemoja give ''Peace and provides Compassion'' to those in pain. Often, Her anger would cause great storms to assault Slave Ships, which would sink them after they had completed their ''evil work''. Locally in Africa, Yemoja was the Creator of all Rivers, and gave birth to The First Humans.
