Wechuge

Many Northwest Canadian Native Tribes have a Legend or Myth concerning The Wechuge. Ancient and mystical Beasts from their Legends it seems never die. The strongest of these Creatures can possess (take over The Spirit) of Humans. These are called Wechuge. Once ''taken'' very little of the previous Human form is seen. They are part-Animal and part-Human (the animal, depending on the possessing Spirit). Normally Bear, Wolf and Deer are ''seen''. The Wechuge are very evil and hate Humankind. They will stalk about and kill (devour) Human. It is seen as a curse visited upon only those who are evil themselves. They are compared to The Native American Wendigo Mythology.
