From a Cult in the 9th Century BC ''Kingdom of Van'' (later, Armenia) – ''Tushpuea'' was a ''City Protector'' of Tushpa. A ''Cosmic Being'', She was also Patron of The Hearth''. As such, Her image was often placed on cauldrons and pots, for protecting food prepared for a Family. Her Icons were constructed to resemble the body of a bird with the head of a Human. These were also hung in a House or near a Communal Fire to provide protection.
