An tale told in both Christian and Islamic Cultures – The ''Seven Sleepers'' is seen a myth. Also known as ''The People of The Cave'', the tale dates to the 4th Century AD. The ''Sleepers'' were said to be Christian Martyrs who had escaped Rome's persecutions. Captured and brought back to The Emperor's justice, He ordered them to be sealed into a Cave, deep within the Desert. The Martyrs prayed to God to be delivered from the slow and certain death. They all were said to fall into a deep sleep. So deep a sleep, that they stayed in ''suspended animation'' for over 400 years! Discovered and set free into a ''New World'', The ''Seven Sleepers'' were seen as proof of God's Power over Life and Death (as their story is used to illustrate).
