Located in Cornwall, England – The ''Merry Maidens'' are a stand of (15) Granite Stones, roughly 3 to 4-feet in height (square). Arranged in a circle, The Stones are Neolithic in age (12,000-years). Thought to be the remains of an Ancient Pagan ''worship Circle'', a Legend developed in the 10th Century AD – which served as a cautionary tale for generations. With the advent of Christianity, strict observances and ''zero tolerance'' for the practice and interpretation of The Religion was enforced. Once such, was that dancing (especially on Sunday), was forbidden. A Group of ''foolish girls'' gathered on Sunday and began to dance and celebrate. God was so angry, that he turned The Maidens to stone, where they still stand today.
