Farafra Desert is located in Western Egypt. Located between Dakhla and Bahariya (a series of Oasis), dotted with Chalk Rock outcroppings. Home only to small Bedouin Tribesmen. The Farafra only averages .01 % precipitation yearly with an average ''Summer'' heat of 117-degrees. Into this somewhat inhospitable Region comes an Ancient Curse and haunting. The Pharaoh Akhenaten ruled for 17 years during The 18th Dynasty (1549-1292 BC). He is credited for abolishing the many Gods worshiped through The Kingdom in favor of ''1'' God, The ''Ra'' (Sun). Creating Enemies within the powerful Priesthood, they may well have plotted his death and revenge in The Afterlife. Much of his imagery, laws and edicts were purposely ''erased'' by The Priests (who promptly resorted back to The ''Old Order'' upon Akhenaten's demise. It is said that rather than the traditional funerary Rites of a Pharaoh, his Spirit was removed and cursed to wander for all time through The Farafra Desert. His ''wails'' of torment are often heard on gthe winds of the Desert (both day and night). The Bedouin say water sometimes turns sour when the ''Spirit of The King'' is near, as so does food spoil.
