Friend to Sir Tristan, Sir Dinadan was a Round Table Knight who gave rise to the well known phrase of being “A Lover and not A Fighter”. Dinaden preferred to “woo” rather than “War”. Losing a bet once, Dinadan was forced to Joust wearing a Dress over his Armor. A clever Knight, Dinadan was also involved in the intrigue that brought Lancelot's Affair with Queen Guinevere to light. Being one of the Knights who could not tolerate such “treason”, he too challenged Lancelot to a Duel (Joust). Sir Dinadan did not receive a Quest by Arthur and appears very little in later Arthurian Legend Stories.
