Shunten Doji

In Ancient Japanese Demonology – Shuten-Doji is a form of High Demonic Leader or Commander, who is feared by all other ''lesser'' Demons. According to His origins, Shuten-Doji was once a Human Warrior who was decapitated in battle. His ''anger'' caused Him to continue into The Spirit World, charged with overseeing ''wayward'' Yokai. Doji can ''detach'' His own Head – perhaps as a way to ''scare off'' Humans and Yokai alike. Doji lives on Mt. Ibuki (near Kyoto) and is often portrayed as both ''Good and Evil''.
