Saule was a Solar Deity found in Latvian and Lithuanian Pagan Mythology. The exact age of Her Cult is unknown, but written information about Saule appears around the 12th Century AD. Saule was The Sun in The Universe, who was kidnapped by Demons. This allowed the jealous Moon Goddess to try and take Her place. Only when other Gods stepped in to save Saule, was She free to make sure The Moon can only shine for 12-hours each day.
