The ''Sanghyang'' is a Ritualistic Dance performed in Balinese Folk Religious circles. Centuries old, The Dance consists of (7) parts, each involving a different number of dancers in ornate costumes (mostly those of animals). The goal of The Sanghyang was to place a dancer into a trance-like state, so that they might be ''vessels'' to be possessed by malevolent Spirits. These could be Ancestors or Guardian Spirits needed to assist a relative with an issue. The Ritual is very careful to NOT summon ''harmful'' or ''demonic'' Entities.
