Norse Mythos states that ''Ran'' was a ''Fairy Goddesss'' of The Seas. Her 9 Daughters were said to be the ''cause'' of the many waves caused by the movement of The Seas and Wind. Often shown in later Art as a ''fishing net'', this was elated to the fact that Ran captured souls ''lost at Sea'', and conveyed them to Odin for safekeeping. Ran also served a purpose in Hel (Norse Underworld). Those souls NOT deserving of Odin's Judgment, were consigned to The Underworld for torment (damnation).
