Many Slavic Countries know of The Poroniec. These are Demon Spirits who come to life and take over stillborn infants and those who die in childbirth. Much like The Myling, The Poroniec feeds upon Women who do not care for themselves while being with child. These are horrible human-like Entities who stalk their prey from darkness. One method to keep a Poroniec from attacking is to bury the stillborn at the threshold of One's home. This provides protection whenever a Female walks over the remains and stops the Poroniec from attacking.
