''Perchta'' were Proto-German Pagan Deities which were known around the 10th Century AD (but were much older). Portrayed as malevolent Beings, initially They were neither Male or Female. They were considered summoned for both Good and Evil purposes. Described as being ''Humanoid'' in appearance – The Perchta were covered in fur and had long curved horns extending from Their heads. With the advent of Christianity in the region, The Perchta were seen as ''Demonic'' and ''Evil'' Beings controlled by The Devil. Many later Tales of such creatures would seep into local Germanic Legends and Ghost Stories.
