According to Chinese Folk Mythology, Nezha was a Demi-God ''Prince'', who protected the famed Jade Emperor in The Heavens. As a type of ''Heavenly Guard'', many of His adventures were recorded by The Chinese, and used a stories which emphasized heroism, determination and honor. Some Scholars state that Nezha was really an earlier for of God adopted from Hindu Buddhism. When portrayed in Art, Nezha is shown as a ''young and strong'' Warrior, often well armed. His icons are still honored in many Asian Religious Systems.
