The Nang Tani is part of Thai Mythology and Legend. Variations also appear in Cambodia and Laos. ''She'' is the Spirit of a ''young and pretty Girl''. The Nang Tani may have come from the story of a Girl murdered and Her body stashed in a stand of Banana Trees. Never ''discovered'' Her Spirit returned to Earth. Pale White (and still beautiful), Nang Tani wears a Green Dress. At night time, She lures unsuspecting Men near Banana Trees and ''steals their Souls'' – leaving only a ''dried husk'' of a Corpse! Another variant, is that She ''transfers'' The Souls into Banana Trees to linger for all Eternity. ''She'' so ''marks'' each Tree with a Yellow Ribbon as a warning.
