A ''Creation Deity'', The Aztec God ''Nanahautzin'' is associated with The Sun. According to His origins, Nanahautzin noted that The God Quetzalcoatl was about to destroy The Earth to usher in a ''New Age of Man'' (which according to Aztec Tradition, occurs at The Gods will). Sympathetic to Mankind, Nanahautzin cast Himself into the dying Sun and set Himself on fire. As a result, He became the ''New Sun'', so that Man would always have Light.
