In Japanese Mythology, Namazu was said to be a giant Catfish which lived deep in The Earth. When Namazu was ''angry'', He began to thrash around – which would cause the many countless earthquakes that Japan often experiences. To counter this, The Japanese Gods tied a great rock around Namazu, to restrain Him. Occasionally, He breaks free and then...shaking. From the more rationale take, Namazu was responsible for many re-building efforts which would help shape what would become modern Japan....Not Bad for A Giant Catfish!
