An possible astrological symbol dating to the 16th Century AD the ''Monas Hieroglyphica'' is both strange and somewhat still, unexplained. Created by Court Magician and Astrologer John Dee, the symbols has been given many meanings over the centuries. Some cite it simply as His personal Sigil, others more ''darker'' references. The symbols is sometimes linked to Demonology, due to it's ''horn-like'' appearance. Others, base it's creation on strict Astronomy, with The Horns actually The Moon in partial eclipse, The Circle The Sun, and Cross with Hooks representing Fire. Some still link The Monas to Alchemy.
