A tale told among The Elders of The Hawaiian Island, The Menehune were a Race of ''Little People'', said to range between 6-inches to 2-feet tall. They shun Humans (generally) and hide during the day in caves or in the deepest of forest (coming out only at night to hunt and gather food). They will defend themselves however. Using very small bows and arrows, a ''large'' group of Menehune can release a ''cloud'' of arrows at an intruder (which can severely injure).
