Of Philippine Origins, The Marukos was a ''Group'' of Demons that lived among the close reeds and marshes found along the many Rivers found in The Philippine Islands. They are described as ''corpse-like'', with blackened flesh and capable of flight. The Marukos relish in drowning whole Groups of victims and feasting on their bodies. Naturally, loss of life during Monsoon Season is often attributed to The Marukos.
