Of Ancient Irish (Pagan) Belief – ''Li Ban'' was a ''Water Deity'' associated with Lough Neagh (a Lake located in Northern Ireland). Widely portrayed as a ''Beautiful, Red Haired'' Being, similar to a Mermaid (half-Human, half-Fish), She was invoked to ''cure'' illnesses common to local Women in pre-Christian times.
