In the more Modern practice of ''Heathenism'' (which is a pre-Pagan, psuedo-Religious System), the term ''Kindred'' was taken from Old Norse phrasing for Relations both within and without a direct Family Units. Later, it would be used to describe not only distant Relationships, but those applied to non-family Members who have the same ideology. In more ritualistic applications, ''Kindred'' is relative to those Members of a specific Group or Sect, which together practice various pre-Pagan ceremonies. The term could be applied (to a lessor extent) to that of ''Coven'' or ''Gathering''. The term was known to some extent as well, around the 7th Century AD mostly in Germanic Regions.
