In Japanese Shinto, ''Kami'' are seen as ''Powerful Deities'' which bestow their Divinity upon certain Humans (normally Emperors and Nobility). Kami is also applied to various revered Ancestor Spirits. They can be both ''Good and Bad'' and are also associated with Nature. The Kami are said to ''live'' in a ''parallel dimension'' to Mankind, and possess the totality of knowledge and wisdom.
