The Native American Sioux Mythos tell tales of ''Heyoka''. This ''Deity'' was quite possible an early example of personification, whereas Heyoka was portrayed in Art as a ''Clown''. He was a ''celestial Jester'' (Joker), from which ''good humor'' was derived. Later, ''Heyoka'' would become a word used to show how One needed to be able to ''make fun of Himself'' (not to take life too seriously).
