Found in Buddhist Mythology – ''Hariti'' was unique in that She was seen as both ''Goddess'' and ''Demon''. She was Patron of ''Happy Births'' among women (meaning no pain in childbirth) to having a ''good and healthy child'' after such. Her ''Bad'' side was invoked to Children who did not behave towards their Parent, often being represented as a Demon who would come at Night ans spirit them away. Hariti can be found being worshiped around the 9th Century AD in many Asian Countries and in just as many portrayals in Art and Literature. Many of Her ancient Temples and Shrines still exist.
