God and Protector of both Fertility and those who Shepherd – Dumuzid was an Ancient Mesopotamian Deity dated to 2,500 BC. His long lasting Cult, would endure until the 11th Century AD. His Cult states that Dumuzid was a Demi-God (or part Human). Married to a Goddess who was trapped in The Underworld (and given up for dead by Dumuzid), She would escape and place Him in Her stead. Tormented by Demons for His ''slight'', His freed Wife takes pity and allows Him to be free of Hell for 6 months out of the year. These are the reckoned Seasons of The Ancient Mesopotamian Cultures.
