A Dormarch was type of Ghost Hound, used by Norse Gods – during their ''Great Hunts'' in Valhalla. Seen as part Wolf and Dog, The Dormarch was much larger and far more fierce. These mythical Beasts were said to have been created by The God Odin to help in His ''annual'' Hunts. In the 6th Century AD, (with Norse incursions into Wales), The Dormarch would become a piece of that Culture's Mythology. In this incarnation, The Dormarch were Spirit Guides, who wandered battlefields after some great conflict. ''They'' gathered up the souls of those ''faithful'' Warriors and conveyed them into Paradise.
