From Cantabrian Mythology, The ''Cuelebre'' were said to be Bat-winged, Dragon-like Beasts. They were captured and sealed into cave to guard hidden treasures. Although immortal, as they age their scales will turn into rock. They are sedentary until attacked. They consume cattle and Humans ''whole''. It is said The Cuelebre live on a mythical Island called ''Mar Cuajada''. To kill one, a person needed to get The Cuelebre to either eat a red-hot rock or bread with pins concealed inside. It is also said that their saliva when spat will harden to stone (which can be ground up to heal any illness).
