A ''Protective''' Device from Ancient Roman Times, The ''Crepundia'' was a form of Amulet (Talisman), which was made of shaped lead. Each component was related to a different God, Goddess or Spirit. It was thought that by combining a collection of such, increased or ''special'' power could be achieved. The collection was then attached to a necklace or wristlet, and worn for Protection. The Crepundia is seen as the first example of a fashion trend still worn today – The Charm Bracelet.
