Mayan Mythology features a version of ''Hell'' which too is populated with the Souls of those who did Evil on Earth. A ''Tormentor God'' – Cizin resides there. His purpose is to ultimately destroy the transgressing Soul thru torture. This is done by Cizin burning the mouth or anus with fire. The more the Soul complains, the more Citzin will ''burn''. Eventually, the complaining Soul will simply be burnt up.
