Scandinavian Mythos and Folktale tell of The ''Boyg''. These were ''slimy, Slug-like'' Beings who ''slithered and twisted'' along the ground as their means of movement. They smelled bad and left a foul trail of fluid behind them. They were malevolent towards Human (generally). It was thought that they could, (if properly motivated) – give directions to where various treasures were buried. However, they were difficult to locate, living high in The Mountains of many Countries.
