From Ancient Babylon, Belet-Seri was seen as an Underworld Goddess, dating to the 6th Century BC. Belet-Seri was seen as The ''Scribe of The Dead'' – responsible for recording the names of all Souls who died. These are then turned over to Erishkigal, Goddess of The Dead for distribution (Salvation or Damnation). Belet-Seri was later identified as ''The Queen of The Desert'', who performed a silimar function.
