A Haitian Loa associated with Protector of The Dead and in particular their Cemeteries, ''Baron Cimitiere'' maintains the ''balance'' between those Dead who ''wander'' and The Living. Normally, Spirits must remain inside and The Living out unless rendering honor to their deceased. He is often portrayed as a ''well dressed, Gentleman (Dandy)'' and is not always shown in the tradition ''Skull Face'' common with Haitian Loas. He smokes very expensive cigars (which are an important sacrifice to Him). Fine wines and expensive alcohol will also appease Baron Cimitiere. One had best not disturb the graves of The Dead either, as The Baron will bring great calamity to those who do.
