A Greek (and later adopted Roman) Goddess, ''Athena'' is related to Wisdom, Craftsmen and of course War. She was Patron of many Ancient Greek Cities and had extensive Cults and Temples dedicated to Her honor. Athena is most often portrayed in Art as a Female, wearing a Helmet, Shield and carrying a Spear. She is often seen as being the source of The Greek Olive Tree (Olive being used to built entire economies in Ancient Greece). Known as Minerva by Rome Athena is also the origins of The Story of Medusa (The Gorgon). Medusa witnessed Athena's rape by Poseidon and did nothing. As such, Athena cursed Her to become the hideous snake-haired Gordon. Athena would also in future centuries be associated with Democracy and Freedom.
