A general Term for a Hindu ''Earth Spirit'', The ''Apsara'' actually are classed into two ''species''. The ''Divine'' and ''Worldly''. The Divine are seen as Messengers for various Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The Worldly are comparable to ''Elemental Spirits''. Many other Cultures identify with The Apsara (mostly Asia). The Apsara are portrayed in Art as being physically beautiful (Men and Women), and were highly sought after as Mates to Human Kings and Queens. The Apsara could control weather and luck. They were Patrons of The Arts (much as Greek Muses influenced Human Craftsmen). They also had Shapeshifting abilities.
